engagedWhat Does the Engaged Statistic Mean?

Ok, don’t get too excited, we’re not talking about marriage here. When we say “engaged” in email marketing, we’re talking about those folks who interact with your content. Maybe they click on a link, or they open and read the email, or they forward it to a friend, or they like it on Facebook, or … you get the idea!

This audience activity is what we mean when we use the generic form of “engaged,” with a lower-case “e,” or “engagement.” And just to be clear, here at Mad Mimi, we also have an “Engaged” tab, right on your mailing statistics page. This is the specific Mad Mimi “Engaged” stat, complete with a capital “E.”

The “Engaged” tab in your stats report shows you the nitty-gritty of all your clicks. This is everyone who has clicked on any link in your mailing, as well as how many times, and which links. You can check out more details about our “Engaged” tab right here.

How Can I Use Engaged Stats?

A healthy email list will usually have a high engagement rate, in general, whether that’s opens or clicks on specific links. A high engagement rate with your email marketing is a major indicator of a solid customer base and interested audience. Analyzing your audience’s engagement with your content is a first step to growing your business.

For instance, you can use “Engaged” stats to analyze :

  • what content or items are resonating with your audience
  • the percentage of your audience who are opening your emails
  • which subject lines are more effective
  • the best time of day to send for your audience
  • the most effective link locations in your emails
  • how to segment your audience lists
